Adobe Type Manager (ATM) is a discontinued font rasterizer and management utility designed to deliver high‑quality on‑screen rendering and printing of PostScript Type 1 fonts on classic Mac OS and early versions of Windows. It enabled smooth font display and reliable output even on non‑PostScript printers. ATM was offered as a free Light version for system‑wide Type 1 support and as a Deluxe edition that added font activation, font set management, and tools for creating instances of Multiple Master fonts. Modern operating systems include native Type 1 handling, and many creative apps have since deprecated Type 1 fonts, so ATM is primarily of historical interest or used in legacy workflows.
Adobe Type Manager is developed by Adobe Systems Incorporated and is used by 44 users of Software Informer. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 4.0 and 4.1.
